Victoria Beckham for Target look book has been released! Check out the complete collection here! Collection will be available in-stores & online on April 9th 2017.
From People magazine: In an interview with the Today show, the designer explained how her collaboration with the big box chain came to be, saying,“I have so much fun dressing Harper and can take what I’ve learned from having a daughter and really use that when designing this collection for little girls. I know what they like, I know what’s comfortable for girls, and Harper was really involved in the whole process and she has her collection and she loves wearing it.” She added, “This collection really makes me smile.”
From WWD: Victoria’s daughter, who is five years old, inspired the collection in several ways. “It’s about the things we did, like press flowers,” said the designer, who features in the collection a clear plastic raincoat edged in black and pockets filled with pastel pieces that look like petals. There are mommy-and-me versions of a black dress with a white collar with a rabbit on each point. “I know what Harper likes to wear; kids want to be comfortable. I’ve taken everything I learned as a mum and put it into the collection.”
Victoria Beckham x Target has a whimsical aspect with a teapot print fabric for infants and dresses made from a painted English flower print. “She loves ‘Alice in Wonderland.’ Children’s dress-up dolls are about my shared experiences with Harper,” Beckham said.
Favorite pieces:
Love "Alice in Wonderland" theme.
Scallop Trim Dress is a must-have! Surprisingly, most of the collection is pink - the color Harper doesn't wear very often.
The Black Collared Dress is almost identical to the Bonpoint dress, which Harper wore in February 2015.
The Yellow Ruffle Dress was inspired by Harper's Roksanda Ilincic dress worn in March 2015.
It is interesting that there isn't a single skirt for girls, Harper wears skirt & top combos quite often.
The whole collection is very affordable - kids tops are $15 & $20 and dresses are $28 & $25.
coming up: in the next post, we will talk about the looks which Harper already wore from the new collection.

Well, the dresses are all pretty much 'copies' of the ones Harper wore... there is a picture of Harper painting in a Chloé dress which that blue one was clearly inspired. Love them though. The blouse and top are my favorites!
